Frequently Asked Questions

Is sound therapy safe?

Sound therapy helps promote overall well-being, reduce stress, and enhance relaxation. Sound therapy is not recommended for individuals with sound induced epilepsy and individuals with serious mental health conditions unless they have consulted their doctor before receiving sound therapy. Pregnant women are advised to be cautious when participating in any form of sound healing, especially in their first trimester, and should avoid sound instruments being placed on the body.

Other precautions that are taken:

Sound healing instruments are not used directly on:

· Open wounds and inflammation

· Individuals who have a history of osteoporosis

· Directly on or above a heart pacemaker or other implanted device

· Any deep vein thrombosis in the leg or known thrombi

How should I prepare before a sound therapy session?

Please wear comfortable clothes. If you are wearing any metal jewelry or a Smart Watch device, you will be asked to remove the item(s). You will be offered a blanket and pillow for additional comfort.

Be open to receiving exactly what you need in the moment. Sound travels to where your body (energetically or physically) needs it the most. If sound healing instruments are placed on your body during the session, the vibration will be felt. It is normal to feel a slight tingling sensation.

Please avoid eating a heavy meal beforehand, as you want all of your body’s energy to be directed towards receiving the benefits of the sound vibrations, not digestion. Staying hydrated is also important, and it’s a good idea to avoid alcohol or caffeine before a session.

How many sessions are recommended for noticeable benefits?

The number of sessions needed varies from person to person. Typically, it is recommended to have at least 4 sessions, with 1 session per week for the first month. However, individuals may come more frequently or less frequently based on their personal needs.
